Ingredients

  • 2 green tea bags or 2 tsp loose green tea
  • 6 fresh mint leaves
  • 1/2 lemon, juiced
  • 1 tsp honey (optional)
  • 3 cups hot water (175°F, not boiling)

Steps

  1. Heat water to 175°F (just below boiling) to prevent bitterness.
  2. Place green tea and fresh mint leaves in a teapot or two mugs.
  3. Pour hot water over the tea and mint. Steep for 3 minutes.
  4. Remove tea bags or strain. Add lemon juice and honey if desired. Serve warm or over ice.
