Baked Cinnamon Apples

Tender baked apple halves with cinnamon, walnuts, and a touch of honey. A warm, naturally sweet dessert.

Ingredients

  • 4 medium apples, halved and cored
  • 2 tbsp chopped walnuts
  • 1 tsp cinnamon
  • 1 tbsp honey
  • 1 tbsp coconut oil, melted
  • 1/4 cup rolled oats

Steps

  1. Preheat oven to 350°F. Place apple halves cut-side up in a baking dish.
  2. Mix walnuts, oats, cinnamon, honey, and coconut oil. Spoon into apple centers.
  3. Add 1/4 cup water to the bottom of the dish.
  4. Bake 25 to 30 minutes until apples are soft. Serve warm with a dollop of yogurt if desired.
