Spiced Roasted Chickpeas

Crunchy oven-roasted chickpeas seasoned with smoked paprika, cumin, and a touch of cayenne.

Ingredients

  • 1 can chickpeas, drained and patted dry
  • 1 tbsp extra virgin olive oil
  • 1 tsp smoked paprika
  • 1/2 tsp cumin
  • 1/4 tsp cayenne pepper
  • 1/4 tsp garlic powder
  • Salt to taste

Steps

  1. Preheat oven to 400°F. Toss chickpeas with olive oil and all spices.
  2. Spread in a single layer on a parchment-lined baking sheet.
  3. Roast 25 to 30 minutes, shaking the pan halfway through, until crispy.
  4. Let cool on the pan for 10 minutes (they crisp further as they cool). Store in an open container.
